Pumpkin needs a family. She is a 6-8 month old, female, mixed breed. We found her while walking one of our client's dogs. Homeowners in the Castle Hills area neighborhood said that Pumpkin was dumped off a week before Thanksgiving. The friendly neighbors would occasionally put food or water out, but no one was taking her in. One of our generous handlers took Pumpkin in.

We are trying to find a home for her. Turns out, Pumpkin is a near-perfect dog! She is a very happy, high energy, cuddly little angel who is wonderful with small children and other dogs. Pumpkin loves attention, but is not needy. She is quite comfortable exploring and playing independently, too. Pumpkin is well-balanced without any obvious fears or phobias.

This adorable mix integrated into her foster family dynamics, immediately. She often goes for fast, long runs with her human “Daddy”. She can run like the wind! Pumpkin gets along very well with her older, canine “sister”, Honey. Even the neighborhood children visit frequently to give Pumpkin plenty of love and attention; she dotes on them as well.

Pumpkin travels peacefully in the car. One of her favorite destinations is the dog park; where she wears herself out playing fetch and chase with all of the other dogs. She is extremely trainable. Pumpkin is quickly mastering obedience commands and house training. Since her rescue at Thanksgiving, Pumpkin has been microchipped, had all her vaccinations, and has been spayed at the cost of our Handler. She is in excellent health and spirits!

This adorable pup with eyes that melt even the coldest of hearts needs a loving, active home. The ideal candidate adopter has a matching level of high energy as Pumpkin. A home with children of any age and/or other friendly dogs would be a great match, too. Pumpkin is currently living as an inside dog with frequent outside access; i.e. monitored playtime in a safe, secure back yard, with daily walks and/or runs.
